The Jawahar Foundation is an initiative of Mr. Riju Jhunjhunwala, a renowned funder and entrepreneur. The Foundation is a best NGO in Rajasthan and operates in Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara and Jaipur, Rajasthan, working to provide support and lasting solutions to people. The Jawahar Foundation has been operational since October 2019 and has implemented more than 200 programs.
The Jawahar Foundation aims to support the communities of Ajmer, Banswara and Bhilwara. Together we can develop, grow together, and build together the society in which we want to live. During the Coronavirus pandemic, we have been actively providing support and infrastructure to the affected people in Ajmer and Bhilwara, Rajasthan.
This journey of helping people in need and giving back to society began with my grandfather. He was a great philanthropist, a driving force for my family, whom I have always admired. My vision was to do something for my home country, Rajasthan, and continue our legacy of supporting communities, says Riju Jhunjhunwala.
The Jawahar Foundation strives to solve the problem of food security and eradicate hunger in Rajasthan. With this in mind, he founded a community kitchen called Swabhiman Bhoj, which serves healthy, nutritious and clean meals to everyone on Re 1. their income or status.
The Jawahar Foundation currently operating in Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara and Jaipur (Rajasthan) has served more than 200,000 meals in just 9 months. The Jawahar Foundation also plans to expand the community kitchen service to other cities in Rajasthan.
The foundation also focuses on different problems people below the poverty line face such as Health and Sanitization, Education, Water Conservation, Food Security and Employment Generation.
